I took this picture, trying to capture the smoke that was blown into the valley by the winds we've been having. This smoke is from the Malibu fire I believe. It has been so stinkin' windy today. I don't really know how I will sleep with all the rattling of the windows and howling.

Wow. My sister Jenni lives in LA too. I'm just glad you guys are okay and not evacuated or harmed in any way.
So is the Malibu fire the closest one to your place? Are there a lot of evacuees around? I'm so glad you guys are safe!
yeah, the malibu fire was the closest. the evacuees i think are mainly from the san diego area so we didn't see very many around here.
all the smoke made for lots of hazy skies but really pretty sunsets. the colors were really so so pretty.
